When making a request, you can use ~てくれ in an informal situation with family/friends. It's also typically used by men.

for making a request, the above note using てくれ does work, but it sometimes seems more forecful/commanding. A more polite way of making the same request would be with てくれない or　てくれませんか

In the model sentence, the first sentence's English isn't right:

「寒くても犬が温めてくれるか等だいじょうぶだよ。」
I'm already because even if it gets cold, my dog will keep me warm.

I think "already" should be "alright" or maybe "all ready." Also, in the last sentence, there are two "I"s in it instead of one. And I swear I'm not trying to be a perfectionist, but it'd drive me crazy if somebody didn't fix it! XD

Used as "-te kure", it expresses slang imperative.
e.g. 止めてくれ！(yamete kure!) - Stop!!

In many sentences that I have come to while practicing N4 grammar, the construction pattern above, which is true for くれる, does not seem to always apply to てくれる.


For example:

急いで 彼かれに電話をか けてくれる？(Would you hurry up and call him (for me))

While the に may be the receiver of the call, it is not the receiver of the くれる, which is me.


In short, I am asking if the construction for てくれる.should be the same as くれる (without the て)

Here is a better example for what I am trying to explain:

あの先生はいつもていねいに私達＿しどうして下さる。(The teacher always politely gives us advice)

Following the construction for て下さる, my answer was に, as 私達 is the receiver. But the correct answer is を！

It should be に to the best of my knowledge and the resources I looked into. Interestingly enough, when talking to a native speaker, their first answer was "を", but after thinking on it some, they changed to に. Might be one of those ones where the structure has broken down a bit in some conversation.
