I'm too scared to join discord events.. Do we actually have to open mic there? If we do, I really don’t want to. I’m too nervous. I'm really scared especially I barely use discord and I'm scared to caused any problem.. 
Sorry if this a bit overdramatic.

in the discord events i have joined(which is only a few lol) you dont need to have you mic on, unless your like singing (in the karaoke) or reading (in the reading) ect. so basicaly no, you don't have to have your mic on.
