I have a question that under mastery schedule in hiragana I have covered all the hiragana sounds/characters now it's just giving me repeat stuff i guess. So for learning katakana do I have to add it by myself or I have to first master all the characters in hiragana the level which shows under the characters in circle.

In short do I have to do something for switching from hiragana to katakana or it will do itself I just have to do more practice until I unlock it.

Renshuu is designed to give you full control. Once you feel you're confident with your hiragana, you can click "Manage your schedules" (should be at the bottom of your current schedule(s)), then click "All Schedules" (the one on the right, with the magnifying glass) and select Japanese Basics -> Katakana. Depending on how you feel about that, you can try the Japanese Basics schedule below too. That will begin to introduce simple words and grammar, and the vocab in the quizzes will be great practice for your hiragana.
