Hi all!

After studying Japanese at Uni for 3 years, and after a fairly large hiatus of 12 years, I decided to pick it up again and Renshuu has been great so far kao_great.png

But let's jump back to the topic at hand. If we're talking about what happens or is being portrayed in a movie, book or other medias (both fictional and not), would you use に or で?

E.g.: In おう from Yasujirou Ozuで/に、[rest of the sentence].

I briefly checked online, and from what I can tell the particle に is used when a certain degree of focus/analysis of a given work is involved in the next considerations of the sentence , whereas で is more ideal if you are just going to state what happens or follow with something more trivial so to speak.

Is it actually the case? I'd be interested to get a bit more intel about this if any users have some to offer.

Many thanks! kao_heart.png
