I'm a big Nintendo guy and I really like their games, especially the Zelda ones (hence my username lol), and I was wondering as someone who never went to Japan, did some of you guys ever went to any of the Nintendo stuff in Japan? I know they opened a museum like last year and they have a theme park and all and although I've been dying to go visit for myself I thought it would be cool if anyone knows anything about those places from their personal experiences.
You'll probably have better luck posting this in: General Discussion / Japan, にほん, 日本
That's the place to discuss "Anything related to Japan, Japanese culture, politics, living in Japan"
"Anything About Japanese" is for discussions about the Japanese language.
Omg I went to the Nintendo Museum Kyoto just this past summer!!! It was so fun and had such good merch. I bought a Nintendo Super Famicom Controller Pillow (was ~100$) and some limited edition blind boxes only found in Nintendo Museum. I also highly recommend going to USJ Nintendo World as it is so interactive with the power up bands and also the newly opened Donkey Kong Ride!
Note: The Nintendo Museum has a reservation lottery system, meaning that you have to win a lottery for you to be able to buy an entry ticket. Also, do not be surprised if there is high security and no camera/photos throughout the exhibits as they don’t want spoilers on the internet.
Ohhh the lottery system is something I didn't know about at all, I'm surprised, but also it makes a lot of sense as I'm guessing it would be too crowded. The no pictures/videos rule also makes sense as it's a museum, but I'm sure I might be missing out on some hidden gems myself lmao so I wanna go too. I'll defn keep an eye out on the lottery system, I was expecting to go in there without any reservation nothing just entrance payment but oh well
