1 Shows a word with a green plus that I don't have in any of my lists or schedules.
2 Shows that this is the case.
3 Shows the 'common words' of another reading for the same kanji. All three of the green plus words are not in lists/schedules like the first one

This is not an isolated issue, I chose this kanji completely at random. Most kanji have this issue for me. Given that I can open the dictionary pretty much any random kanji and find multiple instances of the issue, thousands of entries must be affected. This does not only happen with words: there are also kanji that themselves have a green plus when I don't know them. This is a problem because I like to enter the dictionary for kanji and manually add words that I want to learn, but I am frequently tripped up by this since it's unclear which ones I have actually already added and which ones I haven't.

I have a clue that might help:

When I was very new to renshuu, I created a pretty large number of lists containing lots of mined words from media I like. I later made them private and then eventually deleted all of these because I realized the lists contained a lot of 'trash' 1-2 kana words because I hadn't filtered them properly. Some of these lists seem to linger weirdly in a renshuu bot(?):

This bot profile has several of my lists on it. Not all the words in these lists have the green plus sign, but a very large number of them do. This also happens with kanji:

I don't know why it would be this way, but I wonder if these lists, having been picked up by the bot, are somehow still associated with my account in some way, or were removed from it incorrectly and had some of its information stick around.

Another thing to note: If I pick one of these words and manually add it to an existing schedule, then remove it again, the green plus sign goes away temporarily. If I exit the dictionary and return to the page, the green plus sign is back.

That’s most likely it. The bot holds onto lists that are used by others so their schedules (or whatever) don't suddenly lose terms because the original author no longer needs the list.

I don't have a good fix for this now, but I did clear out that data from your account, so it should look better now.

Thanks! That seems to have mostly taken care of it. I haven't found a word yet that still has the issue. However, a few kanji still do. For example:

If it helps, I think my kanji lists on the robot (other than the majora's mask ones) are the Persona 4 frequency lists, and that's where I found these.

I'll have to think about a more accurate fix in the future, but it's unfortunately not something I can do at the moment.

No worries, the fix to the words was 99% of the problem for me, the kanji is just a minor inconvenience.
