I still dont know how to really use advanced search =( 
You can search using multiple filters. For example this is N2 + N4. You can then filter by specific mastery (even by individual vectors). As far as I know this is the only way to change mastery in bulk for a given vector(s) (from "Actions").
You can do other things too. What exactly do you want to know?
Maybe you wanna make a new list that contains only the verbs you've studied?
Maybe change the mastery of all Katakana terms you've studied?
The first one is easy. You can also add "Studied before" if you want only the ones you've studied:
Not sure you can separate them based on Godan/Ichidan though. I'd have to look into that one.
Update: I don't see a way of filtering by Godan/Ichidan. The search function doesn't seem to recognise those either. I could be missing something of course.

What if I want to create a schedule that only has N5 verbs taught or maybe like making a schedule separating Godan and ichidan verbs?
You don't really need advanced search for this entirely, or to really search at all if you know broadly which subject it falls under. Especially if you already have made schedules. You can control individual iteams, especially within schedules, the dictionary, or even other lists just by using the green + button. For example:
