掲示板 Forums - More keyboard shortcuts on answer screen

Hello, I am starting to use Renshuu and primarily use a keyboard to interact with quizzes. For sentence quizzes, I often would like to hear the final sentence read aloud when possible. There is usually audio which can be heard by clicking the audio icon with a mouse, however I would prefer to use a keystroke instead so I can keep both hands on the keyboard at all times. I've looked at the keyboard settings for Renshuu quizzes but none of the audio-related shortcuts appear to trigger this audio.

Can a keyboard shortcut for this functionality be added?

Thanks for taking a look. I tried both of these options, and neither are working on the answer screen for me. I tried rebinding both options to other keys, but it didn't help. I use Chrome - and I just now tried Firefox, but the shortcuts don't work there either. I disabled extensions in both browsers but again nothing helped.

I did whip up a short Chrome extension that scripts this capability for me, so for now I'm sorted... but it would be nice if it "just worked". I'm stumped on why it's not doing anything but does for you, and I'm not familiar enough with JS to just be able to figure it out. FWIW I don't have pro and can see both the options you mention - and neither seems to be locked in my current account. I do agree the second option seems to be the one which makes sense for this case (though I dislike that you need a modifier key to trigger it, I've "fixed" that with the plugin I wrote 😄).

I'm using Windows 11. I just tried the "play audio for answer" shortcut in the "Words for Beginner Japanese" schedule - and it worked! But "Beginner Japanese/N5", where I took my original screenshot, still doesn't play the audio.

Yes, the shortcut is working now in both schedules and in both browsers. 👍
