Im curious, what is the difference between どうぞよろしく and はじめまして ? What context should I use them in?

Is どうぞよろしく more of a farewell and はじめまして more of a greeting?

i switch between different language learning apps and small differences like this give me whiplash. I never know why some phrases are different and when to use the right phrase! Im afraid of lookin like a real 馬鹿外人 (dumb foreigner) visiting 日本 in a few months, curious how much it matters if I uttered the wrong phrase (like the above examples) and if theres much of a difference!

A basic 初めまして、〇〇です、よろしくお願いします。covers you for 99% of interactions. No need to worry about anything else until you reach a higher overall level. No one expects you to nail native nuance when introducing yourself. How you carry the conversation after the introduction is much more important.

PS: Don't use 初めまして as a greeting if you've already met... that would be awkward.
