Does renshuu have a feature to search for all the kanji that use a particular component? (not using the word "radical" here since from that understanding that term is only for the main component).
I like using the renshuu dictionary most of the time, but feel like it's the one feature I haven't been able to find yet. Wondering if I missed it or if it's just unavailable.
It does, but it’s a little tricky to use. Use the filter (funnel icon) to narrow search results to characters with matching parts.
This is most useful if you are looking for a specific character. Less so if you want to see all the characters with a given part.
Yeah, but it's not very good and is missing some components. https://jisho.org/ is way better. It not having 忄is wild to me...
Even Jisho is not that great for comparing similar characters side by side. What have I started to do is create lists of related characters. You can find blocks of related characters on wiktionary, for example, and paste them into a new list. Takes only a few seconds.
I'm not shilling for Jisho or anything, but for example if I try to look up 字 (for whatever reason) using both 宀 and 子, this is what I get (I had to collapse the filter on Renshuu to see the results):
That’s a good point. The Jisho search is AND-based, and renshuu’s is OR-based.
I really can’t think of any good reason to make it OR-based. Perhaps that was an oversight by Michael.

What do you mean by finding blocks of related characters on wiktionary ? If you could explain how I can do this in more detail I'd love to try it too ^^
I am definitely looking more for a way to find all characters with the same parts, rather than looking for a specific character.
If you look up a character on Wiktionary, for example 所, there is a link to the radical in the Translingual section. This page shows every character with that radical.
In addition, many entries include lists of derived and related characters (𬾟, 𰇵, 𢯢, 𣷲, 𱡥, 𭾾, 𫿐, 𭿡, 齭, 𫜭, 㫹, 𢀦, 乺, 𭈝, 𰈕, 𪘷, 𲈬).
Most interesting to me is the phonetic series table in the Chinese section of most characters.
