I'm having a lot of trouble understanding what's going on with the Shiritori rankings. I thought it would completely refresh on a certain day of the week, but it looks like that's not what's happening.
For example, this is a screenshot from July 8th:
And this is a screenshot from a few moments ago:
The top 3 have stayed the same and have been able to add a few words to their score. Meanwhile, I dropped from 242 words to just 30? And I haven't even played Shiritori this week? I'm so confused... any clarification would be great. Thanks!
As I recall, the “weekly” ranking is actually computed over the previous seven days. That’s why the leaders don’t move around much: as long as they play a consistent amount every day, they will retain their positions.
For Shiritori, Haiku, Word Gardens, and the Question Corner the "weekly" ranking is actually a rolling 7-day window. It's more about consistency in a way.
You played a lot of words 7-8 days ago and those have now "fallen out" of that 7-day window.
