Looking for the japanese word for half-sister (or half sister) gives this result. Yet there are 3 senteces linked - when checking them, they use the word 半 分 血 . Since it's used in two sentences, one would assume it's a legitimate word for half-sibling, but it's not linked to any vocab aka it has no direct translation. Searching for half-brother gives me no result at all, so I wonder if 半 分 血 would fit that.

This not a bug. Please take care to create new threads in the correct forums as to not create extra work for Michael while he is in the hospital.
半 分 血 means half-blood. It can be used for brothers or sisters.
異父兄弟 and 異母兄弟 can be used for half brothers.
半 分 血
As far as I know the "correct" word is 半 血 (はんけつ)
半 血 兄 弟 とは、父 ・母 どちらか一 方 のみを同 じくする兄 弟 姉 妹 一 方 で全 血 兄 弟 とは、父 ・母 の両 方 を同 じとする兄 弟 姉 妹 のことです。

全 血 兄 弟 姉 妹 （ぜんけつけいていしまい）= Full siblings半 血 兄 弟 姉 妹 （はんけつけいていしまい）= Half siblings
General-purpose dictionaries only have so many words...
異父兄弟 （いふきょうだい）異父姉妹 （いふしまい）異母兄弟 （いぼきょうだい）異母姉妹 （いぼしまい）
The phrase 半 分 血 がつながっている seems to be a common "poetic" (fiction, novels etc.) take on 半 血 😁
