I think they're looking for words that are made up of those kanji.
It will include both combinations and words with just one kanji, but if you have that list in a kanji schedule, you can tap the ... next to the schedule and make a vocab helper schedule, which will generate a schedule of words based on those kanji.
Not OP, but I'm also focusing on learning kanji compound words. That kanji helper function thing, which I discovered because of this thread, is a neat feature. Thanks.
