How is Japanese basics schedule really basic because first it contains words too long and many verbs..second it contains 500 words?!! I always got sad/angry that why is it "100 words to learn"...then found out..kao_rocking.pngkao_rocking.pngkao_lazy.pngkao_lazy.png

This is why I switched to schedules that are by grade level as a personal choice (optionally, you can just use the JLPT designated ones, they're almost the same). That breaks it down easier for you to practice. For me, I only break it down to the shorter, 5 items per review than the default 10. Less burnout that way.

I've yet to come across something sensible like this for grammar, but c'est la vie.

But Japanese Basics is the most basic, I also do it 5 items per review, but my reviewing turms are like 100 or 96..so with them reviewing I need to learn 5 more terms which makes it 15 terms per day..

500 is pretty basic considering the 10,000 words you will have to learn

You don't have to keep adding new words while you're studying. In your schedule options, you can set your schedule pace to "Review", which will stop feeding you new words and just allow you to build confidence with the ones you're already studying. Or if you don't want to stop adding new words completely, you can simply set a more relaxed preset pace, or a custom amount with daily maximums that work best for you.

Schedules also have an option to only introduce new terms after you've finished your daily reviews, and an option to limit your reviews to a certain goal number each day. There are lots of options to customize how your schedules work in order to serve your learning style best; everything is Renshuu is under your control, so I recommend you take a dive into your settings to see what might help you feel less overwhelmed.

I really don't have problem with learning 15 terms or more than that in a day, but the problem im facing is that I need to review 100+ terms every day...and which makes me do 3+quizzes

The higher the number of new terms you introduce a day, the higher your review numbers will be. Schedules are a Spaced-Repetition System, meaning that how well you know a term determines how often you will need to review it, and since new terms all start at 0, the more new terms you take on every day, the more terms you will have with a short review cycle, and the more reviews you will have to do every day. Lowering the new terms setting is not about how many new things you can handle learning at once, it's about keeping your review numbers reasonable. If you want less than 100 reviews a day, you should only be taking on like 3 new terms a day, not 15+.

If you don't want to do multiple quizzes, you could a) increase your quiz size so you get all of your reviews in one quiz, or b) set a Daily Goal for your schedule, which will limit the number of questions Renshuu gives you to what you choose.

The problem is this...so you mean there is a setting for reducing reviews ( cuz I looked at the settings there was not ), let me see once more carefully

Click on the "Settings" button next to your schedule, and then click the "More settings" button at the bottom of the pop-up that comes up.

Near the top of the page, there is a "Daily study goal" section. Uncheck the button that says "Study as much as I can" (this setting will serve you every review that is ready to study every day, no matter how many). After unchecking it, a space will appear where you can write in your goal. Once you have a goal set, no matter how many reviews are technically ready to be studied, Renshuu will not prompt you to complete more than that amount every day.

This might not be the best way to do it, but I've been just trying to get through my 'terms to review' on a weekly basis, so I only have to do 1 quiz per day on both terms and grammar, but I've also been taking my time to make sure I understand each concept before moving on

so essentially just try to find the pace that you can handle without burnout or confusionkao_heart.png

I went as far as for kanji for this - just type in and that will populate lists by grade level. You can kind of get away with it with the JLPT system instead if you want, as they're nearly the same. Otherwise, one would have to make their own list for everything else since there's a lot for the JLPT system at this time

If you wanted to look at the kanji thoughout the elementary and secondondary school as a whole, You can peep this here:

As for vocabulary, I don't know what an actual set is like, but there are lists with the most frequently used words you can just search on the web for that would give you a picture of what you'd encounter most. Otherwise, if you wanted to work with smaller sents rather than trying to learn 10,000 words or so, I see nothing wrong with using the JLPT lists anyway.
