Alsooo, while we're on the topic of stories and things, I would absolutely love everyone's opinion on... stuff I know I haven't mentioned that story I was working on for a while, and that's because (1) I'm so very busy
and (2) I'm struggling with almost every aspect of that story so I've been avoiding it
I think I want to workshop several stories at once, and while I'm figuring them out (with y'all's help hopefully
) I can get opinions on details and deciding which one to develop fully first
I have so many ideas
bring it on
Time to go get the keyboard cuz I've got a lot of writing to do
Okay:
It's a big minigame server, there are like 200 different games to play. There is a compass in your hotbar, if you right-click it, it shows a menu to select the game you want to play. In almost every game there's an explanation how it works. If you want to friend me, try /friend Roman3005.
Thank you!!
Interesting. I think that still counts as hyperspace, but with some creative restrictions that make it reasonable.
The bit about 4d light confuses me. I don’t understand where the light is coming from, or how it is different from ordinary photons.
I also am skeptical that a manufacturing prototype would be able have such cosmic power, unless it tapped into some preexisting energy.
you have some good points the prototype was extremely small, so it wasn’t as powerful as the bigger ones, and it only had to have enough power to create the portal, because once it collapses, it’s just a hole into the other dimension
also it has a bunch of power anyways bc the test sight is earths biggest muscular power plant
As for the 4d light, my knowledge of 4d spaces and light is very limited, so I just assumed that the photon structure in a 4d space is 4 dimensional
Also sorry for the late response I typed this in between splatoon rounds
Okay, so these are the ideas that best fit the "story" category (some of the other ideas I have are better suited to personal ocs). Please give honest opinions, I'm always open to questions and constructive criticism and like I said, these are just vague beginnings of more complex stories
•(All credits for this idea go to my subconcious for giving me this in a dream ) There was a man whose selfish desires caused him to use a risky form of magic in order to make himself wealthy (or something like that, I feel like just wanting to be wealthy is a pretty dull motive) but ended up destroying 99% of the population (and radiation from the destruction caused certain animals to become violent and toxic). Our story follows an excellent survivalist (he'll have a really cool personality too :3) who wanders the earth looking for that 1% of survivors so they can help defend each other in a dangerous world. In the end I want him to create a team of really diverse characters who compliment each other really well and are fun to watch. Definitely a feel-good concept even though there's danger involved, I don't want it to be heavy
• This one's so vague but sounds cute. It's about a world hero who is the strongest, most powerful person on earth. Everyone thinks he's really tough until he falls in love with someone and becomes a complete softie (feels like a common trope, but would hopefully be endearing enough that it could gain traction)
• This one's really hard to explain, but I'll try. It's about an ordinary man (literally as plain as they come) in a bounty hunter world who falls for the most expensive and most wanted bounty on earth (an innocent but ethereal woman who is extremely valuable for unknown reasons) and becomes obsessed with protecting her at all costs. He goes from being a dull businessman to one of the most powerful men on earth just so he can keep her safe (lots of emphasis on character development in this one, whether good or bad. I have a really hard time explaining how it looks in my head, it's so much cooler there I swear )
• And then of course we have the story about the kid and his abusive dad.
So those are the best of my stories that fit the manga format, I also have a concept that would work very well in novel form, but I'm not a good writer, so Hawk, if you like this idea, feel free to play with it cuz you're awesome at writing
• This one is about an eccentric, secluded (and most definitely demented) man who has the ability to create mechanic human replicas of some sort (don't know how he does it). He has made so many of them, but every single one has failed. Nevertheless, he continues to make more one at a time, each one thinking they are the first and having no idea they are not real humans. The story would be viewed from the perspective of the most recent replica, and they will explore their seemingly normal life until they start finding clues and evidence of the man's sinister past and the replicas that came before them. Kind of a slow-burn horror story that has many holes at the moment
Sorry again Roman, it took me like 10 minutes to accept your party invite And it confused me so much that there was suddenly so much stuff on the screen
The replica story reminds me of a novella I once read about a woman who has a fatal disease and allows herself to be cloned for her husband’s sake. I’ll see if I can dig up the author and title.
Yeah I really like the first one I think that’s a great start and you could build a pretty deep story around it
F3
on Java Edition).I'm playing with sweet 15 fps
Well, that was one of the worse theater experiences I've had It was somehow as packed as Maverick, except this time it was a bunch of kids and we ended up in the very front, so we had the worst view of the screen. And in front of us we're a bunch of teenagers saying a bunch of lines before they happened
Anyway the movie wasn't as bad as I thought it might be but it also wasn't the greatest video game movie adaptation
Ugh Row that just sucks I hate when movie experiences get ruined because of the people and not the movie
it happens so much
Yes, I absolutely agree any ideas? Changes? Comments in general?
I'm back sorry about the experience Row. Hope you have a better time next time
I didn't think it was that geared towards toddlers But they all looked so hyped like some of them were literally carrying MC plushies around
Imo, it’s easier to create a story after you have a bunch of lore, so what I like to do is overthink everything. That means find some logical reason for every question someone might have. So here’s some questions that might give you some lore: what kind of magic was he using? what was he trying to do with it? How did he find out about it? How did it destroy the population? Is the survivalist wandering by himself? How does he know there are other people?
You know, that kind of thing
(You don’t have to answer all of those, js giving examples)
I hate public experiences like that kids can be so annoying
I feel like writing lore before the plot has always ended up disastrous for me in the past
