But nowhere in that dictionary entry does it explain what な is doing in sentences like
きれい*な*部屋です "It's a pretty/clean room"
そう*な*んですか "Is that so?"
So my comment was just letting you know that you can ignore the dictionary definition of な when you see it in sentences, because it's irrelevant to the majority of the sentences な is found in.
