Hi everybody 🙋🏻‍♀️,

I created my first word list, and I’m wondering if there is a way to easily turn the word list into a corresponding kanji list? Do I need to create a new kanji list and search each word individually again? Or is there a way to take the word list and generate a matching kanji list?

If you click the dropdown on your words schedule, you can get to the "Add kanji helper schedule" link from there (check out the intro video as shown beneath it too). If my understanding is correct it will create a kanji schedule of any kanji that appear in words from your Words schedule. Good luck! :)

Thank you アっくん. Your instructions and picture were very helpful. I was able to create the kanji helper schedule. Now one more thing for anybody who can answer. I created two lists and grouped them as a set, since they come from the same source, but are two separate chapters. When I first added them, I was able to see the two lists underneath the set title and how many words were in each list. Since creating the Kanji helper, I can no longer find the individual lists. Now I see just the name of the set, and all of the words are included. As I add more chapters and lists to the set, I was hoping to still be able to focus on individual lists at times. But it looks like they’ve merged into one big study group. I can still see that there are multiple lists if I go under the “Me” menu. But I can’t see them on the scheduler anymore. What happened? Is there a way to fix it so I can still practice individual lists at times? I’m sorry if this is confusing.

Hm, that's weird. I'm not sure why creating the kanji helper would alter the original Words schedule at all.

If you meant that the Kanji schedule has all the kanji clumped together, that's normal - I think you'll have to have two separate Words mastery schedules, one for each sublist, and then create two separate Kanji helper schedules from those two Words lists

If it's not any trouble, would you mind sending some screenshots of the areas you're wondering about (if you can draw arrows pointing to the areas of concern that's a help too). This sounds like more of a glitch to me, but either way the screenshots will help whoever gets it! :)

Here’s a picture of the list that I can find when I look at the set under the “Me” menu. You can see that there are two lists under the set.

But then on the schedule, I can see the Duolingo vocabulary schedule, but the two individual lists are not visible. If I go into the terms, all the words are there, but they’re combined. I could’ve sworn that previously I was able to see the individual lists. I tried clicking on everything to see if I could find it, but I can’t. I used to be able to look at the grammar schedule created by Renshuu, and see that there were several lists within the schedule. But I can’t figure out how to find those again.

Ah yes that helps! Thanks for posting the screenshots.

From my knowledge, the mastery schedules have no way to study the individual contents separately (although I think that would be a handy feature to have!). However it does look like you might be able to study the individual lists as shown in your first screenshot here:

It is very kind of you to take the time to answer my questions, and I appreciate it. Yeah, that’s true, I can just go through the menu, and study from there. I guess that solves the problem. FYI, the reason I wanted to be able to do that is because sometimes I need to focus on one unit in order to pass that unit in Duolingo, but then I want to also be able to go back and review all of the words learned up until that point. I don’t think I could create the list leaving it separate, and then later add it to the bigger set. I think you have to add it to the set from the start when you’re creating the list. There’s so many amazing features on here, and I’m slowly exploring and learning how to use them. But there’s definitely a learning curve to navigating the app. Well, thanks again!
