acuatlly you dont need to memorise it what can you do is derivation :
what is (a+b)^3? If you break it down you get
(a+b)^2 * (a+b) right?
now open (a+b)^2 ; we get a^2+b^2+2ab
a^2+b^2+2ab now multiply it by ( a+b )
and thus we get the identity
if you forget it in the exam then you can derive it in simpler methods
Yes, these formulas are very neatly arranged in my math book and I am very good at algebra. Don't ask me any more questions about this. I have done so much math that I don't feel good anymore.
