@マイコー I realised that it is difficult and prone to mistakes to translate the englisch example sentences of a new grammar lection without seeing the japanese original. It would be helpful if that could be included.
For example: the word "reasons" can be translated in different terms in German, depending on the context. "Reason" can be "Grund" like in "motivation" or "cause" but in the grammar lection about the particle し it's German meaning/accurate translation would be "Begründung" which is used in context of explanations or argumentation (A is x because of B). But "Begründung" would be translated most of the time as "explanation" or "justification" to distiguish it from the word "reason" with the meaning of "cause".
Therefore one has to guess according to the english sentence what has likely been written in the orginal japanese sentence to find a correct german translation. Word to word translation does not work.
it is also difficult to translate grammar explanations that refer to a specific term or word in the original japanese sentence without seeing the sentence..
Actually, it's always been that way, so maybe just a mistake in the original translation.
As to the above note, ...that's a really good point. There isn't a good way to handle this on this page. Instead, this is what I'd recommend. Go to settings on the translation page, and turn on the "globe" icon. That lets you actually go through the lesson, and then you can tap on the text on the page and pull up the translation panel (so you can get the context for the sentence.)

I do have the globe activated (btw it appears in top left corner, not the right, as said under settings - at least for me) but I don't know how to use it. It does not do anything on the translation page. What do I have to do for it to let me go through a specific lesson?
It doesn't work that way, rather, the opposite. You have it on, then when you are going through the (for example), lessons on renshuu under Community > Japanese Lessons, you can tap on the text in there to do a direct translation.

I do not see "Japanese Lessons" in "Community". If I open the Community folder it shows "Haiku, word garden, Question corner, Threads, ranking" etc.
He meant Resources, not Community. Just a simple mistake. I can provide a screenshot if you need one.
Thank you, found it. I opened a grammar lection there and tapped on the english text, like said, but nothing happend. There are also German translations with mistakes.
Can someone please explain to me in German how I can do what マイコー suggested?
Edit: It's not me, it's renshuu. On some pages I have to tapp up to 5 times or reload renshuu untill the globe will react.
And for some unknown reasons, my menu looks different.
While using the schedules for my normal daily learning I noticed that almost 90% of grammar explanations in German have typos or are not to understand. But when I tap on them and the globe opens up the search for the translation, the sentences are never found.. it bothers me. >:/
Some of the green highlighted parts are also wrongly marked in the German translation of the example sentences or their translation is incorrect. But I also cant find those via the globe search.
@マイコー I second that the globe tool is not reliable. Too often it didn't work - so I disabled it after a while.
some suggestions: 1) The UI translation tool is missing some kind of history for each element. 2) A way to comment why the translation which was chosen is correct and better. 3) Explanatory pictures which shows where the term is found in the UI. 4) I would also like a way to track changes of terms I suggested/changed. 5) Search: a) Add regex capabilities b) Add case-sensitive
Almost none of these are feasible, sorry. Some of them, like the search, is doable (but I don't have the time to do it), but all the other ones are simply many, many hours (or in the case of #3, probably a hundred+ hours) that I just don't have.
Naturally, I am hoping that users will continue to help with the translation system, but renshuu was built 20 years ago without anything but English in mind, and it's effectively "too late" for me to fix the mistakes that I made in a 500,000+ lines of code program, so what we have now is unfortunately about the best that I can do :(
This is not exactly the UI translation, but there have been a significant number of correction requests to the German definitions of the numbers 1 through 9 (いち、に、さん, etc.) - most of them along the lines of the most important definition first (the number).
You should be able to use the word translation page to find and suggest a correct to them - if these could be looked, that would be great, as I do not feel comfortable making changes to non-English definitions myself.
